The Gauge O Guild is a company limited by guarantee and has a Management Committee which is legally responsible for the running of the Guild.

There are many volunteers who help with the running of the Guild and you can view them on the Guild Contacts page.

John Kneeshaw
President

The President represents the Guild as required and is charged with promoting the Guild during their term of office. View the role.

John Birch
Chairman

Chairs the Management Committee and ensures the smooth running of the day to day activities. They also oversee the performance of main committees and chair the AGM. View the role.

Richard Clark
Secretary

The Company Secretary takes and distributes minutes of the Management Committee, deals with correspondence, Companies House and all statutory matters. View the role.

Malcolm Hector
Treasurer

The treasurer has overall responsibility for all Guild finance. View the role.

Charles Oldroyd
Publications

Responsible for all publications, in particular the publication of the Gazette and Guild News. The Publications Committee includes The Gazette Editor, the Guild News Editor and Trade Liaison Officers. View the role.

Jackie Kneeshaw
Events

Responsible for organising the major Guild events, Guildex, and the spring and summer Shows. Currently the Vice Chair of the Guild. View the role.

James Aitken
Technical

Responsible for all technical issues, Technical Information Officer and Competition Organizer. They also have overall responsibility and accountability for IT. View the role.

Geoff Goddin
Membership

Responsible for membership issues including the Overseas Representatives. They also have responsibility for the members’ forum.

There are 14 area Constituency Representatives including one for overseas members. Their task is to provide a link between local groups and the Guild by offering help and support to encourage these groups to flourish and grow and take part in shaping Guild policy.
