Modelling Societies
- Association of Larger Scale Railway Modellers, (ALSRM), open to anyone interested in model railways in the larger scales, be it electric, steam, clockwork etc.
- Modern Image O Gauge, (MIOG), “giving the Modern Image O Gauge modeller the platform and tools required to enjoy the hobby”.
- Model Electronic Railway Group, (MERG), is a society promoting interest in the application of electronics & computers to all aspects of railway modelling. This is done through a vast library of information, video tutorials, local groups and extensive range of electronic kits, which range from the simple to the sophisticated.
- Diesel and Electric Modellers United, (DEMU) , multi-scale society for the modeller of the British Diesel and Electric era.
- ScaleSeven Group, working to standards based around the correct rail and wheel profiles, with a back-to-back distance of 31.2mm and a rail gauge of 33mm.
- The Signalling Record Society, maintains and shares knowledge of Railway Signalling and Operation in the British Isles and Overseas. Everything from the present day signalling to the earliest times.
- The 7mm Narrow Gauge Association, aims to encourage the modelling of narrow gauge railways at a scale of or around 7mm to 1 foot (1:43)
