Based on circa 1950s Eastern Region, 'Witty Banter' is a large inverted figure of eight layout boasting up and down platform faces with the capacity for trains of ten carriages and two through running lines. The station, built on a curve, has an overall glazed roof with an uncanny resemblance to that at York. There are two bay platforms on the down side of the station. Both also have access to the MPD while the longer of the two can be used to load stock during running sessions. The sizeable MPD has a large two road engine shed with access to the 70' turntable. To the side of the MPD are carriage sidings to facilitate running round prior to turning locomotives.
