About the Club

Meetings are for visitors to run their own locos and rolling stock on several tracks radii 27”(Atlas) 36”(tinplate) and 48” (Atlas). Other relevant buildings, models etc are also most welcome. Most trains are coarse 3-rail but the 48” track will be capable of running fine-scale and 2-rail locos too. There is no point-work. The ethos of the group is inclusive; we welcome anybody who would like to run anything O gauge capable of using our tracks. At our first meeting, Old and new Bassett-Lowke ran happily with Hornby electric and clockwork, Ace and Darstaed models. We usually have a couple of trade stands, one being WJ Vintage. We have a bring and buy table too.

There is no membership as such. The location is extraordinarily beautiful and is virtually underneath the 82-arch Harringworth Viaduct. The home-made cakes are legendary and the ambience very welcoming.
