The ready to run market has changed from the availability of a few models built professionally from kits to inexpensive models with moulded bodies and cast chassis. There are many ready to run locomotives available now with both steam and diesel available, as well as a range of coaches, wagons and scenic items. The guild Gazette includes reviews for many of the items brought out over the year.
Ready to run track has been available for many years with more than one manufacturer offering ready to use flexible track, points and crossings.
