Chris says I was asked if I could produce a video programme showing the assembly of a brass loco kit. I was just starting on a GWR King, so I pointed my camera at the bench, and here is the result. The kit I used was a David Andrews King, and the programme starts with me opening the box. I have video’d every stage of the build, and show all the techniques I used to finish the model (except painting, which I consider to be a black art). I even show the finished model running. I cannot claim it to be an instructional programme, rather a diary of my humble efforts. The programme is rather long at almost 4 hours.This programme might be useful for someone wondering if a brass kit is within their scope.
